We will be using plastic containers about the size of shoe boxes, so your items cannot be larger than that. (If you need more specifics let us know.)
We will be filling some boxes for GIRLS and some for BOYS, all of which will be between the ages of 10-14 years old.
Items can be contributed TODAY or as late as Thursday, November 12th, at the PACKING PARTY (details below).

LIFE IMPACT
Join other Christian Challenge groups from all across the United States for this 4-day event that is sure to impact your life!
The conference will take place in Norman, OK from January 2nd to January 5th. We will be traveling by charter buses that will depart on the night of January 1st and return again on January 6th.
Your discounted rate is only $150! (the actual cost is $210)
Thankfully money has also been contributed to cover the cost of the charter buses...meaning there is no additional charge for you!
A DEPOSIT OF $5O MUST BE TURNED IN BY SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH. AFTER THAT DATE THE PRICE WILL INCREASE BY AN ADDITIONAL $50!

The purpose for this meeting is to make plans for the future...specifically for the next semester of Christian Challenge at UCCS.
I want to hear from you what has worked well and what we could do better.
I want us to consider how we can better engage the campus and how we can be more effective in sharing Jesus with the students of UCCS.
We will be taking time to brainstorm some ideas for events throughout next semester.
We will also be praying for next semester...for your leadership/involvement and for God's wisdom/direction/blessing.

City Wide Christian Challenge Winter Retreat
THIS EVENT IS HOSTED BY THE CHRISTIAN CHALLENGE/BSU GROUPS AT USAFA, CC, UCCS, & PPCC!
This is one weekend you can’t afford to miss! For only $45 you can join students from other Christian Challenge groups all across our city for a retreat you will not soon forget. We will be escaping to the Summit Peaks Lodge in Silverthorne, Colorado for a time of Bible study, worship, and endless fun!
Your $45 payment will cover your food and lodging expenses for the weekend. For those interested, there is also the option of skiing/snowboarding for an additional expense.

Multi-Campus Christmas Shindig
Don't miss out on this opportunity to meet other college students from the Christian Challenge groups meeting all across Colorado Springs.
This is event is FREE and tons of food will be provided!
We will be collecting non-perishable food that will be used to help the efforts of a local food pantry for college students.

It's time to take a break from all the cramming and preparation for FINALS WEEK! Join us at the Slacks' house for lots of food and games to see you through this stressful week.
Operation Christmas Child
(THE DATE PROVIDED ABOVE IS ONLY THE ENDING DATE FOR THE EVENT AND IS ON-GOING UNTIL THAT POINT.)
You are invited to participate in the efforts of filling boxes that will bring a smiles to kids' faces all over the world! Each box will also guarantee the opportunity for 1 more child to hear of the love of Jesus Christ.
Choosing to spend even $1 will help to provide items for these gift boxes. A suggested list of items is provided near the end of this section.
We will be using plastic containers about the size of shoe boxes, so your items cannot be larger than that. (If you need more specifics let us know.)
We will be filling some boxes for girls and some for guys, all of which will be between the ages of 10-14 years old.
Items can be contributed TODAY or as late as Thursday, November 13th, at the PACKING PARTY (details below).
TO TURN IN YOUR ITEMS YOU CAN DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
1-Call or e-mail Kent using the contact info provided below and we can arrange a time and place to receive your contribution.
2-Bring your items to our weekly Christian Challenge meeting, which is Tuesday @ 7:00PM in the Student Community Center. (more details are available on our group page: Christian Challenge-UCCS) Someone should be there as late as 8:30PM each week.
3-Bring your items to the PACKING PARTY on Thursday, November 13th between 7:00-11:00PM. We will be meeting at the Slacks' house to pack all the items in the boxes. We will also take a group picture to put inside each box. Snacks will be provided!

WHAT IS OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD?
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.
Spring Break Mission Trip
(The reason for the early posting of this event is due to the sign-up/deposit deadline in December!)
We will be partnering with Mission of Hope and sharing hope in rural Appalachia.
Our opportunities to serve will include construction, painting, landscaping, sports outreach, ministering to the poor, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The approximate cost will be $700-$800.
A $200 non-refundable deposit will be due no later than Monday, December 8th.
Trick or Treat Party
If you're going to hand out candy to little kids, you might as well hang out with friends and have fun at the same time. So, come hang out with us!
We will have some snacks, but no meal will be provided. Feel free to either eat before you come or bring fast food with you.
Please bring some candy to add to the stash.

Join us for a night of cosmic bowling at the Brunswick Zone beginning at 9:00PM.
